You put a lot of energy and talent into the past weeks, and made many people happy with your wonderful voice. I know you would have made good use of the prize money and its hard to be that close and not reach the prize. Yet, to me, you have gained so much. You were in the TOP FIVE of a talent contest - not too shabby. It is my belief that there is no such thing as a 'winner' when it comes to talent. It is a combination of factors, like audience support, personality, song choice, backgrounds, being in the right place at the right time, age, sympathy factor, experience, etc etc. How would Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell or even Lady Gaga do in this type of contest??? Not very well, because they don't have perfect voices by any means. They, and many like them excell because they keep going and reinventing their styles until they find a comfortable fit and an audience that appreciates their unique artistry. I admire the determination you had in putting yourself out there and doing what you love. You remained yourself and of course you had to do self-promoting - that's part of the gig when you enter a voting competition. You stayed true to yourself and your spirit radiated !!!, just as your God wanted it to. You were blessed with your voice for a reason and all who heard you are richer for the experience.
